Well, as you can see by my blog re-design, the dog has stuck around and found a place in our hearts. We have aptly named him Jack, after the main character in the TV show LOST because Jack is our little lost dog. He’s already responding to his new name. In fact, he responds to everything. I’ve never seen such a well trained homeless dog. It’s like he really trying to win us over by being absolutely perfect. We have come to love having him around… except for his brief barking sessions at all hours of the night. He’s a great guard dog, I guess, but I’m not sure I want to hear ANYTHING at 1:30 in the morning.

We’ve had a full and fun weekend with visitors from San Diego staying with us. Trevor Davis, his wife Heidi and rocking drummer Darla came up Friday night, played a [sweet/awesome/amazing] show at our church and stayed the weekend. It’s been so much fun having them around, sharing meals, playing Wii games, just talking, goofing around and laughing. They are leaving today and continuing their tour into northern California. I know the house is going to feel very empty when I get home today. Though it was sometimes chaotic (like when 5 people are trying to share one tiny bathroom), it was so nice having them around. I’m going to miss them but wish them the best on the rest of their tour. I don’t know how they do it. Living out of a suitcase has never been my forte.

I’m looking forward to a very quiet week. We’ve literally got NOTHING on the calendar for the week. Ahhhhh… nice.

Aww, what a cute puppy!!! I know what you mean about the barking. Maybe Jack is trying to send messages to my dogs, Gracie and Bolt. They tend to be vocal at night as well!
