This weekend, Ryan and I shared in the joy of attending the last wedding of the summer for our friends Seth and Charlotte. Seth is a former (brief) roommate of Ryan’s at the old Road 56 house. As Ryan and I were quickly falling in love and then dove into engagement and marriage, we got to watch the romance between Seth and Charlotte unfold.

As their pastor mentioned during the ceremony… though it unfolded very slowly, they were meant to be together and we knew it.

The wedding was small and intimate but incredibly beautiful. My photos are limited, as about 3 minutes before we left, I reached down to adjust my shoe and pulled something in my back. Ouch!

The church was especially pretty. Even though it’s just down the block, I had never been inside. I love stained glass… and flowers… and candles… and weddings in general.

I love the look on couples faces as they walk back down the aisle as a married couple. It a pure expression of JOY every time!

I wish I could have gotten a few pics of the reception site, but it was far too dark and I was being eaten alive by mosquitoes. It was held at a beautiful house next to the river. I can’t even describe it, but it was beautiful. My favorite part was Seth and Charlotte’s exit at the end of the evening. We all lined up on the lawns and lit up sparklers for them to run past. It was so cool!

Seth and Charlotte… we wish you the best as you embark on married life. May you always be each other’s best friend. May you listen patiently, love deeply and live passionately. We’re looking forward to being your “country neighbors”. We love you.
