It’s taken me a while to realize this, but I’m a very goal-oriented person. If you consider all of my To Do lists and the joy I get from ticking tasks off the lists on a day by day basis, it’s pretty remarkable. But that doesn’t even include my yearly goal lists (I prefer goals to resolutions) and my master list… my Bucket List. Out of all of these goals and plans, my favorite is when I get to cross an item off of my Bucket List. It means that I’ve accomplished something that I truly WANT out of life, whether great or small. Some of the items on my list are frankly, pretty stupid, but they are important to me and just things I want to do and someday have the pleasure to tell my kids and grand kids about. Some of the items are kind of surprising… like watching a sunrise or sunset. Can you believe I’ve never really taken the time to sit down and watch that happen?! Some are kind of fun… like getting to hold an exotic animal. I’ve done it twice now! As a child, I held a large toucan while at Ports of Call village in southern California. Just a few years ago, I held a baby alligator in the Everglades.

The year, I doubled down on my goals by making one of my yearly goals to cross 5 items off of my Bucket List in 2011. I started with a pretty “stupid” but drastic one…

Hint… there are before and after pics…

Notice anything different? Ok, I’m NOT crazy. I’ve been wanting to do this FOREVER. Not just to test the theory if blondes really do have more fun. 🙂 I just wanted to do something completely different and live outside of my comfort zone. Though it’s taking a long time for me to get used to it, I’m really loving it, and so is Mr. C. So far, brunette is where it’s at!!
