Ok, so first I have to give super kudos to the women out there, particularly mommies who have any time to blog. I don’t know how you do it. Maybe you never sleep? That’s one thing I will not sacrifice too much of. I love to sleep. I need to sleep to function. I truly and honestly thought I would have more time to invest in this little space, but I really don’t. I want to try and be better at it this year and really share all the stuff on my mind, my heart, in my house, my kitchen, my crafty space… but balancing life and all the other stuff while finding time to photograph and share is proving nearly impossible.

The good news is that all is well in our household. Baby C is growing like a weed (still high in weight percentiles and off the charts in height) and I just released that in a few months I won’t even be able to call him Baby C! He won’t be a baby anymore. He will be a toddler! Heck, by his size, I should call him a toddler right now! 🙂 How did 9 months go by so quickly?

Happy Baby C

He’s a sweet boy. He loves the ladies and is a shameless flirt. He has the most adorable belly laugh and baby babbles. He has 8 teeth, beautiful hazel eyes, and a smattering of soft wavy dark blonde hair with a hint of strawberry. He is already showing signs of mischievousness. He loves dogs, the outdoors and playtime with mama and daddee. He has my heart.

I’m in the midst of planning his 1st birthday and part of me is crumbling from the emotions that he is already going to be 1 and the other part of me is so excited for him to walk and talk and be a little boy. Mr. C and I sat on the couch last night and looked through photos from his birth until now on my phone. I kissed the screen several times. Yes, I’m weird.

Mr. C and I are doing great, though both a bit overwhelmed with work. It feels like that’s all we do sometimes and it’s a hard pill to swallow when all we want to do is be together and have time as a family, but that’s life right? We are trying to make the most of our evenings and weekends – family walks are essential, playtime is a priority and plans for the future are exciting. We have a few trips planned to visit the in laws in the coming months, a proposed weekend escape for Mr. C and I in the coming weeks and the BIG anniversary trip in November. I have to meditate upon these trips to make it through the weeks! When did everything get so busy?!

That’s all I have time to share right now, but I PROMISE, my next post will have the long awaited tour of Baby C’s nursery. Let me say, it’s worth the wait!
